What kind of animation is possible?

Sometimes it is appropriate to use animation on your website.  This could be as simple as a slideshow that fades in and out, or something a little more complicated like a page transition or an eye-candy banner of clouds moving and boats sailing across the water.

It is now possible to use javascript for many animations that have traditionally only been available in Adobe Flash.  The advantage of this is that you do not need to install any additional software, as you would for Flash, and more devices such as the apple iPhone or iPad are able to view them.

There are some kinds of animations that still cannot be done with javascript.  Our developers will always discuss with you the best way of producing your desired effect. Animation Pricing

Simple animations such as a straightforward  slideshow, or a gallery, can usually be included into an initial layout design price.  However, more complicated animations can take considerable time to create and may be a bit more pricey.  It usually will cost a lot less than you might imagine so, however exotic the effect you want, discuss the options before sticking to a more simple presentation.

To accurately quote for an animation we need to have an idea of what would be involved.  The easiest way for us to do this is for you to provide some graphics and a description of how they should function in the animation. HTML5 Animations

In the new version of HTML5 it is possible to do animations directly in CSS.  This is a more effective and elegant way of animating elements on your webpage. This is only available in modern browsers such as Chrome 4 +, Safari 4 + and Firefox 3 +.

By default we use javascript animations as they are supported in older browsers, however, we can also develop your website to use the more modern HTML5 Animations.
