The Toolbar
When in edit mode your toolbar will change to look like the image below. You will be able to use these tools when you place your cursor in an area with text. Your designer will have set the areas that you can edit during the initial setup period.

Using Bold and Italics
By using the Bold or Italic controls you can bold and/or italicise any text. Depending on how your website has been designed, the bold and italic tags may also apply additional styles to the selected text, such as apply a different colour or underline the text. Headings
Headings carry their own styles, set by your designer, that can only be applied to a block or paragraph of text. In most cases the heading will increase the font size of the selected text. For those familiar with HTML, this applies an h2 tag! Tables
Tables allow you to layout data on your webpage. Move your cursor to a blank area in any space that allows you to add text and click on the table icon. A table will appear where your cursor is. By default your table will be 3 columns by 3 rows.
You can add and remove both columns and rows by hovering your mouse over the table - a menu, or nubbin, should appear directly below the table. By hovering over the icons in the nubbin you should see either red or green lines appearing inside the table, green representing adding a new column or row, red representing the column or row you will delete. By placing your cursor in a cell, you can add after that column or row or remove that column or row

You can delete the entire table by clicking the X button inside the nubbin.
The table is resized automatically when more content is added in each cell. Your designer will have added a minimum and maximun width that any one cell can be. Links
Adding links is simple. Selecting and highlight the text, or images, you want to link and click the link icon in the toolbar. A drop-down box with two parts will appear.

The first part "Select a page to link" allows you to link directly to another page on your website. Simply click on the page to which you wish to link and click "Add link" at the bottom of the drop-down box.
The second part "Or type a website url or email address:" allows you to type either a website address or email address. (If you have not added the normal convention of "http://" or "mailto:" to the link it will be done automatically for you). Adding, Replacing and Resizing Images
To add an image, move your cursor to a blank area that allows you to add text. Click on the image icon in the toolbar. A file menu will appear that will allow you to find an image on your computer. Once you have found the image click 'Open'. You can also select multiple images at one time to be added to your page.
A box will immediately appear with a "loading" circular icon where your image will appear. Once the image has been uploaded to Instant Edits servers it will appear on your screen. Depending on the image size and quality this could take several minutes to load.
When you hover over the image you will see a trianglular 'resize handle' at the bottom right hand corner of the image and a menu or nubbin appear.

Click the resize handle and drag diagonally towards the center of the image or in the opposite direction to resize the image. Depending on how your designer has set up your website an image may have a maximum and minimum height and width. Images that have already been saved before cannot be made any larger but can be reduced in size.
The image nubbin will contain an X icon to delete the image, and an image icon to replace the image. Click the replace icon to bring up the file menu to select a new image from your computer. The replaced image will match the same dimensions as the original image.
Depending on the settings your designer added to the text and image area, you may have additional wrapping icons in your nubbin when hovering over the image. These include left wrap, centre and right wrap. Centre is the default setting for any new image that has been inserted and does not allow text wrapping to be set. Left and Right wrap will allow you to wrap text around the image. Adding Attachments
Attachements can consist of any downloads you wish to add to your website. Select and highlight a text or image and click the attachment icon in the toolbar. A file menu will appear that will allow you to find an attachment on your computer. Click 'open' to upload the file.
A uploading alert will appear above the target area and will disappear when uploading has completed. This could take several minutes depending on the size of the attachment.
There is a 10mb limit for any attachments uploaded to Instant Edit. Adding YouTube
Move your cursor to a blank area that allows you to add text - be sure not to highlight any text. Click on the link icon and add the url for the YouTube link to the second part of the drop-down box - underneath the title "Or type a website url or email address:". Add the YouTube link here and click "Add link"

An image will load after a few seconds from YouTube with an image taken from the YouTube video. You can resize and wrap the YouTube video as you would for a standard image.
The video will appear with player controls when you click on "Save changes" and are outside of "Edit mode".
